Challenges we address

As Professional advisors to the Shareholders or Board of Directors, our clients are looking to us to lead restructurings, fix an underperforming business unit, divest or acquire businesses, or manage a complex negotiation.

The majority of our work has been in turnaround situations, creating options for restructuring inside or out of Chapter 11 and leading their implementation. The balance of our work is split between leading merger or divestiture efforts, and guiding a variety of complex strategic changes.

Our clients often face rapid changes in market opportunities, festering enterprise wide issues, and conflict over direction or the path of implementation. Over the past twenty five years client’s have called on us to resolve an interesting variety of issues from succession planning in family firms to fighting global cartels.  We advise them as they negotiate with capitlal soursces, change  the markets they serve, refine how they extract value, rebuild competitive distinctives, or redefine their culture.
